RISE AND FALL GUTTER BRACKET — INDEPENDENTLY TESTED. CFA CERTIFIED. ZERO MASONRY DAMAGE.
The SureFix screw-in rise and fall gutter bracket has been independently tested to BS 8539:2012 by a Construction Fixings Association (CFA) Approved Tester. It held 8.5 kN (867 kg) of tensile pull-out force without any movement. It held 25 kg of sustained downward load with 87.3% elastic recovery. No failure. No damage. Protected by UK Patent GB2607490 and European Patent EP4144934.

HOW STRONG IS THE SUREFIX RISE AND FALL GUTTER BRACKET?
The SureFix screw-in rise and fall gutter bracket withstood 8.5 kN of tensile pull-out force — equivalent to approximately 867 kg — without any recorded movement. All five test panels passed at the full proof load. This means 867 kilograms of force was applied trying to pull the bracket out of the wall, and it did not move at all.
This test was conducted in cured sand and cement bed joints — the same substrate the bracket is installed into on real building sites across the UK.
| Test Parameter | Result |
|---|---|
| Applied tensile load | 8.5 kN (867 kg) |
| Movement at full load | Zero |
| Test panels passed | 5 out of 5 (100%) |
| Base material | Cured sand and cement bed joints |
| Fixing type | M10 plug and screw, 90mm, galvanised |
HAS THE SUREFIX BRACKET BEEN INDEPENDENTLY TESTED?
Yes. The SureFix screw-in rise and fall gutter bracket was independently tested by Vision Midlands Ltd, an accredited member of the Construction Fixings Association (CFA) Approved Tester Scheme. The CFA is the UK trade body for construction fixings. Their Approved Tester Scheme ensures tests are carried out by competent, accredited professionals using calibrated equipment.
The tests were witnessed and the report approved by the SureFix Director. The full test certificates are available for download below.

WHAT STANDARD WAS THE SUREFIX BRACKET TESTED TO?
BS 8539:2012 — Code of practice for the selection and installation of post-installed anchors in concrete and masonry. This is the recognised British Standard for testing construction fixings in masonry substrates. It defines the procedures for proof testing anchors to validate installation quality and fixing strength.
The tests were carried out in accordance with the Construction Fixings Association Guidance Note: Procedure for site testing Construction Fixings (2012), as called up in BS 8539:2012.
HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN A SUREFIX RISE AND FALL BRACKET HOLD?
The SureFix bracket held a full 25 kg design weight per fixing during sustained downward load testing. At maximum load, displacement was 7.31 mm with 87.3% elastic recovery after the load was removed. No visual sign of the fixings pulling out was observed at any point during the test. The test piece achieved a high percentage of recovery.
| Test Parameter | Result |
|---|---|
| Design weight per fixing | 25.00 kg |
| Maximum displacement at full load | 7.31 mm |
| Elastic recovery after load removed | 87.3% |
| Visual sign of failure | None |
| Base material | Masonry |
| Plug type | Friulsider X1 EVO high-performance nylon, 10 × 70 mm |
| Load held for | 5 minutes at each increment |
DOES THE SUREFIX BRACKET DAMAGE MASONRY?
No. The SureFix screw-in rise and fall gutter bracket uses a precision-engineered plug system. The bracket stake screws into a high-performance nylon masonry plug using the purpose-made SureFix Setting Tool. There is no hammering, no impact, no vibration, and no resin. The result is zero masonry damage and zero remedial costs.
The bracket can be removed and reinstalled at any time without damaging the wall — making it futureproof for maintenance, rendering, or repainting.
IS THE SUREFIX RISE AND FALL BRACKET PATENT PROTECTED?
Yes. The SureFix screw-in rise and fall gutter bracket is protected by UK Patent GB2607490 and European Patent EP4144934. It is the only patent-protected screw-in rise and fall gutter bracket available in the UK and Europe. The patent covers the proprietary screw-in mechanism that eliminates the need for hammering spikes into mortar.
IS THE SUREFIX RISE AND FALL BRACKET SAFE TO INSTALL?
The SureFix bracket eliminates the health and safety risks associated with traditional rise and fall gutter brackets. Traditional brackets are built into the brickwork during construction, creating protruding metal stakes at roof height that injure follow-on trades. Major UK housebuilders are banning this method due to documented H&S incidents.
SureFix installs after brickwork is complete. No protruding stakes during construction. No risk to bricklayers, roofers, scaffolders, or any other operatives on site. CDM compliant.
SUREFIX RISE AND FALL BRACKET — REAL-WORLD INSTALLATION
The SureFix screw-in rise and fall gutter bracket installs in under 30 seconds per bracket. That is 78% faster than traditional methods. A full 5-bed plot of 34 brackets is complete in 40–45 minutes versus 2 hours 15 minutes using the traditional method.
